If you're using ClinDoc in manual mode (without a connected integration), you can still record sessions and generate clinical notes. Instead of selecting a synced appointment, you select or create a patient directly.
How to start a manual session
- Open Agent View from the sidebar.
- Select a patient from the right panel. If you haven't created a patient yet, you'll need to do that first.
- Optionally adjust the template and language in the session settings bar.
- Click Start Session. ClinDoc will automatically create an appointment for this patient.
- Record your session. Use Pause and Resume as needed.
- Click Finish and Generate Note when done.
The main difference from integration mode is that you select a patient instead of an appointment. The recording, transcription, and document generation flow is identical.
Uploading a pre-recorded file
If you recorded the session on another device, you can upload the audio file instead of recording live:
- Select a patient as described above.
- Use the dropdown next to Start Session and select Upload audio file.
- Choose the audio file from your device. ClinDoc will process and transcribe it.
You can switch from manual mode to integration mode at any time by connecting your practice software in Settings → Integrations. Your existing patients and documents will be preserved.
